8ft blue spruce straight from the farm! A farm that served complimentary hot chocolate, hot apple cider and chocolate marshmallow Santa's I might add! The only mishap would have been when we got two thirds of the way through the lights and realized that the only other time we've ever put up a tree, it was clearly only half this size and we were waaaaay short on lights. A quick trip to walmart for two more strings took care of that glitch and we took the opportunity to grab pizza hut pizza (a splurge for us) to mow down on while we decked our tree.
And deck the tree we did, somehow we already have a full tree, I have no idea where we will fit new ornaments next year! Hubs and I have a tradition of getting each other a new ornament every year that has "special meaning" plus we buy a Christmas ornament every time we vacation in a new place! I took photos of some of our favorites but excuse the poor quality of the photos, the light in our house is not very good and flash pretty much ruins the shot!
One of the many from when we lived in Boston
Disney World earlier this year
From our honeymoon in Saint Lucia
Chicago earlier this year
We get the special edition White House annual ornament each year, this was last years.
Maryland blue crab
Hand blown glass ornament from North Carolina last yearThe rest of the beloved hodgepodge are little mementos we've been gifted or given to each other. Some of our favorites:
I gave Hubs this ornament our first Christmas, we both adore the s'mores ornaments!
We have a tree filled with hockey and baseball ornaments, I gave Hubs this one the second year we were together.
This was the very first ornament Hubs ever gave me, right after he took me to see the Nutcracker ballet in Boston!
We bought this ornament together at the Christmas tree farm in Boston the very first year we got a tree and decorated it. We were engaged at that point, 10 months until we got married! Hard to tell but written in the heart it says "Our First Christmas"
Hubs gift to me two years ago, a shoe tree, how appropriate!
Another one of the many sports themed, Hubs got this one the same year he got the hockey one above.
Last but not least, the cooking utensil one Hubs bought me last Christmas, I love it!

I love all of your ornaments! We have a few like that, but not THAT many! I am hoping now that Brayden is a bit older, that we will continue the tradition of getting a cute one every year for him. Until then, we still do the red and gold theme.
I love that you already have a collection of ornaments from past experiences! What a cute idea! I wish I had thought of it while we were engaged/newlier-weds.
I am a very theme loving person, but like you, I also love all of the old memories that come with certain ornaments. Which would explain why I have four tress in our house. Three are themed and the fourth is full of memories!
What an awesome tree!
Yay! Pretty ornaments!
SO cute! I need to get a Maryland Blue Crab what kind of Maryland girl (born and raised) am I? Living in Alabama and NOT having this!
We have a couple of the same ornaments! I got the White House one last year as a gift and we also have that baseball one! We have 3 new ornaments from our trip to Disney this summer, but not the one you have. We have lots of baseball, football, and now hockey ornaments on our tree too!
We're the same way! No themed tree for us! Just pure sentimentality and memory ornaments. Total hodge-podge, but I love it.
(Also, saw below you were having trouble with Comcast. So are we! We haven't had Internet for almost two weeks! We're having to use our cells as hot spots! Ahhh!)
Your tree looks beautiful! We buy an ornament for every vacation too (except our honeymoon, because we hadn't started that tradition yet). I love your little S'more "First Christmas" ornament - so cute!
I love your ornaments. We don't do a themed tree, but all of what we have we love.
Some of my favorites are the 12 Days of Christmas ornaments that Mr. Potts' grandmother gave us last year. I just love them.
