Our Humble Abode

It's been awhile since I've posted a "real" update on the house, at least real in the sense that it's accompanied by pictures! Because who I am kidding, everyone really just wants to see the before and after pictures...if I'm lucky, I might get you to read the text in between after you're done looking at the pictures! :) All jokes aside, here is what we started with (actually it was much worse than this in the beginning but we were so engrossed with tearing it out that we forgot pictures-bad blogger!):

As you can see, these photos were taken in the beginning stages but not necessarily the actual beginning. It's a shame really that I don't have photos of that hideous mess of rodent skeletons, nests, dirt and all the other wonderful presents the previous tenant had left behind but thankfully you all will be spared that glorious mess. Here are some more current photos that have been taken:

We are in the midst of installing the crown molding (which is the wood you see lying in the living room) and putting the final paint touches on the walls & ceilings. Below is the my view from the kitchen windows, suddenly I want spring here very badly!

And there you have it, I'm sure there will be plenty more posts to come of renovation delays, furniture placement, decor dilemmas and other such frivolities. In the end, we are excited to make it our very own. :)
