Blogger Awards

Over the last couple of months I have been giving several awards from a number of lovely bloggers, I've gotten a bit behind in posting them but I thought it was about time to catch up with some of the backlog!

The first was from the lovely Callie Nicole over at Through Clouded Glass! She gifted me with the Sugar Doll Award!

The second award comes from Mrs Lukie over at Sarah Says! She gifted me with the honest scrap award!



For both of these awards I am supposed to post 10 interesting facts about myself so I combined them together.

1. I haven't drank a soda in at least 5 or so years, I could probably count the number of times I've drank a soda in my life time on two hands.

2. The only way I will have a soda is in a root beer float, I big puffy pink heart them!

3. I love chocolate! However, I prefer dark chocolate to milk chocolate, don't like white chocolate at all and if given the choice between vanilla and chocolate ice cream? I will always pick vanilla.

4. I am a hula-hopping Queen! I would do this for hours at a time (literally) when I was a little girl and I still have it in me!

5. I am not a math person at all and yet I truly enjoy accounting (most of the time).

6. As much as I am a numbers-crunching, spreadsheet type of person, I HAVE to have my creative fixes or I will shrivel up and die. Jewelry making, cooking, scrapbooking, blogging and more recently photography and styling help keep me sane.

7. I still have a cell phone that is of the plain-jane-no-internet-no keyboard variety. I've had it for three years and I'm desperately hoping that it will hold out until our monthly budget can afford for me to majorly upgrade our plan (though the cell phone would be free!)

8. When I was in college, I bartended and I enjoyed it so much that if I could make a career out of it, I would.

9. Going along with number 8, I am not such a big drinker at all. After years of smelling the alcohol on me after ending the late night shifts, alcohol in general just doesn't really excite me. Though, those chocolate fontini's at Melting Pot are delectable!

10. I am not a coffee drinker at all, I've never been able to stand it unless it's chilled and combined with 90% sugar/cream/milk...or ice cream, I LOVE coffee ice-cream. I feel like this will last until I have kids, whereupon I will be come addicted.

Back to Basics - a new mommy and another one of the many wonderful bloggers I "met" via Wedded Wednesday linkys.

Everyday Delights - She is currently planning her wedding! And I always enjoy reading her updates on life!

Stilletos & Diapers - great sense of humor and I always enjoy reading her fashion posts!

Dave & Brit plus one - she recently had a beautiful baby and I have loved becoming acquainted with her blog, she also has a fantastic sense of humor!

Leslie G - She has an incredible eye for design & I always enjoy reading her posts on decor, design and her family.

Baltimore Simplicity - A fellow Marylander & my valentines day swap partner! I recently found her blog and love it!

Suburban Euphoria - She recently announced her pregnancy and I always find her posts and comments encouraging

Learning to Be a Wife - She is an absolute sweetheart and someone I've admired ever since I read her first post!

And the honest scrap is supposed to go to seven people:

Brown eyed girl - Whether it's fitness, weekly menus, marriage or just in life in general, I always enjoy reading.

Through Clouded Glass - She writes such encouraging & thought-provoking posts!

Ocean Dreams - She writes the most beautiful posts with such lovely pictures, she really has an such a creative thoughtful of style of writing that I always enjoy!

The Adventures of the Miraflor Family - mother of two and the creator of those fabulous hoodies I posted about awhile back, she always writes with a great deal of honesty and grace.

Life of a Doctor's Wife - She always seems to make me laugh with her posts of telling it like it is.

New Life as a New Wife - She has been writing some great posts about food lately, I've really been enjoying them

Marital-Bless - I can always count on Leah to keep it real!


Next up we have the Fabulous Award from Ocean Dreams, thanks Sierra!

4. Living in the moment - Another blog that has fantastic fitness tips! & so much more...she is preparing to deal with military imposed-separation and my heart just goes out to her!

5. Oh! Apostrophe - She and her husband are currently renovating a gorgeous house and I drool each time she posts a newly renovated room!

Loves of Life - Sooo many bloggers are pregnant right now and every time I open google reader another round seems to pop up but I have truly enjoyed reading about Katie's experiences. She also posts fantastic swaps!

Sarah Says - Mrs. Lukie is starting a new exciting time in her life and heading back to school!

Jack and Mandy - Mandy always has such witty posts, her stories about her husband always make me laugh!

For the Love of Stilettos - Sonja recently started up an "Operation Bikini Challenge" over on her blog that promises to be pretty inspirational & she's inviting everyone to join in and link up!

Running in Stilettos - Wonderful sense of humor, reading her posts always seem to put a smile on my face!

Experiments in a Galley Kitchen - She's upbeat and I always feel the love reading her posts and comments left by others.
