Blog Award!

I was honored to be given a blog award (my very first!) from Mrs. A over at Adventures in the life of Mr. & Mrs. A! She gifted me with the Kreativ blogger award, how fun!


For this award, I am supposed to post 7 facts about myself and pass the award on to 7 other bloggers! Here are some facts:

1. I am the oldest girl in a family of eight kids

2. I was homeschooled up until College except for 1st grade where my parent’s allowed me to get a taste of what a Christian private school would be like.

3. I was a vegetarian for nearly 10 years and while I am no longer a vegetarian today, my stomach rejects any red meat.

4. I started college part-time when I was 14 and then transferred to a new college and was officially full time when I was 17, being so young had it’s advantages and disadvantages but to be where I am now and be done with it all and still have a shred of my youth left makes me grateful for all the effort.

5. I was a bartender for three years and I LOVED it. I’m not a huge drinker (and after years of having beer spilled all over me, I now cannot drink beer) and the energy of the crowd, the entertainment, being so insanely busy that you don’t have time to think, and having the ability to make extra money if you needed it was so much better (in my opinion) than being wasted, broke and having a beer gut from drinking too much.

6. I love to cook and bake, and I often think that when I “retire” from my working life, maybe I’ll go to a cooking school for a year or two.

7. In the last two months I’ve once again been attempting to become the runner that I think I was always meant to be. Many injuries plus some health problems have kept me sidelined for several years of my life but I’m desperately hoping that I’ll be able to avoid more problems and get my body in the shape it should be.
