The weather has taken a gorgeous turn this week and we have been experiencing highs in the low 70's! When I leave in the morning for work I feel like I need a coat, it's been glorious! Oh fall how I love thee! Fall is my all- time favorite season of the year (except for Christmas-and yes that is a season too). The crisp feeling in the air, the smells, the food the glorious leaves and colors, the wind, the temperatures....oh I could just go on forever! I thought I would write a series of posts throughout September dedicated to all my favorite things about fall, from recipes to fashion to activities, the possibilities are abundant!
Last year I kind of missed out on the fall with all the hectic wedding planning, party throwing and work craziness the second all the wedding hoopla was over. I am very excited to make up for it this year. The apple picking, the cooking and baking, soups and hot drinks, cuddling in a blanket and watching tv, cuddling in a blanket and reading, just plain cuddling up in a blanket, :) football, outdoor sports, exercise regime taking on new life, nesting and FALL FASHION!
We'll start with the fashion for this post, I dunno if anyone else has this problem or maybe it's just me but fall is my favorite time of year to buy clothes. It's weird because I never did "back-to-school" clothes shopping growing up, as I was homeschooled as a kid but it's still my absolute favorite time of year to shop! I am more comfortable in jeans, boots and a cashmere sweater than just about anything else. Although, a hoodie and leggings is always a comfy stand-in. *sigh* Don't even get me started about fall shoes...I love fall shoes. I much prefer fall shoes to spring shoes. I'd take a pump, peep toe, bootie or boot over a strappy heel any day of the week. My fall wardrobe consists of mostly jeans with a little corduroy; lots of v-neck and cardigan sweaters in cashmere, merino wool and cotton; cowl-neck turtlenecks (such a luxurious pleasure); gobs of scarves (wear them pretty much every day); leggings (american apparels are super comfy); t-shirts; sweatshirts and boots. I posted a lot of my favorite fall clothes and shoes in my fantasy wish list a number of days ago but here are some additions to my favorites:

*All clothing photos are from Jcrew and American Apparel websites.
I'm so excited for fall *insert little dance*, I just don't know what I'm looking forward to the most! Anyone else in love with fall? What is your favorite thing to eat/wear/do in the fall? Am I missing anything from my list?
